Costco is surprisingly a fantastic place to purchase wine and liquor. They offer a huge variety at great prices, and on top of that, even carry their own brand of wine. Now, you might be skeptical to try Costco brand (Kirkland) wine, but let us tell you, it is absolutely worth the try!
Here are four of our personal favorites.
Kirkland Malbec
This tasty bottle is only $6.99 and is a very easy-to-drink wine. It’s aged for 12 months in oak barrels with notes of plum, cherries, and just a touch of cocoa.
Kirkland Sauvignon Blanc
Another bottle for just $6.99, this is a classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It boasts flavors of lemongrass, citrus, and herbs. Our only complaint is how quickly this bottle sells out.
Kirkland Brut Champagne
This $19.99 bottle of Champagne is made by Manuel Janisson whose bottles usually sell for $40-$50. This wine carries aromas of lime, lemon, and apple.
Kirkland Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
This $14.99 bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits notes of black cherry, plum, spice, and vanilla. It’s a dry wine with a medium-long finish.
The Cabernet Sauvignon does take a while to open up, but we can solve that problem with any of our four models of electric wine aerators that will open up this wine instantly.
